What Is A Website URL? (A Simple Video Explanation)

Wondering what the term URL means? A URL – which stands for ‘Unique Resource Locator’ – is, put simply: a web address. It’s a unique identifier for a specific web page on the internet. It’s the string of characters that you see at the top of the page you’re looking at on the internet: the part that (usually) starts with either “http://” or “https://” followed by the domain name, etc. For example, the URL “https://www.google.com/” points to Google, and the URL of the page you’re reading now is https://winningwp.com/what-is-a-website-url-a-simple-video-explanation/.
